🧰 Step-by-Step Guide

1. Choose a Reputable Exchange

  • Opt for well-known exchanges like Coinbase or Binance.

  • Create an account and complete the necessary identity verification steps.

2. Purchase Cryptocurrency

  • Navigate to the "Buy" section of the exchange.

  • Select the cryptocurrency you wish to purchase (e.g., ETH, SOL).

  • Enter the amount you want to buy and choose your payment method (bank transfer, debit/credit card).

  • Review the transaction details, including any fees, and confirm the purchase.

3. Set Up a Self-Custody Wallet

  • Download and install a self-custody wallet compatible with your chosen cryptocurrency:

  • Create a new wallet and securely back up your seed phrase.

4. Transfer Crypto to Your Wallet

  • In your wallet, locate and copy your public wallet address.

  • Return to the exchange and navigate to the "Withdraw" or "Send" section.

  • Select the cryptocurrency to transfer and paste your wallet address as the recipient.

  • Enter the amount to transfer, review the details, and confirm the transaction.
